California R&D Campuses
The Bay Area is home to our corporate headquarters and Research and Development Campuses, where we are building the foundations of fusion energy.
Today, our teams are assembling and testing pulser modules, the compact units that will ultimately power our system. We’re also scaling up manufacturing and advancing target design with proven simulation tools, accelerating progress toward completing the world’s first net facility gain inertial fusion system.

New Mexico R&M Campus and Build Center
Pacific Fusion has selected Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a $1 billion Research and Manufacturing campus. The site, located at Mesa del Sol, will host our first Demonstration System, which aims to achieve net facility gain—producing more fusion energy than it consumes—by 2030. This facility is not a power plant, however it marks a critical step toward delivering clean, on-demand fusion power to the grid.
The project will create 200 permanent jobs and hundreds of construction roles, generate tax revenue, and expand STEM education and workforce development opportunities. It also builds on New Mexico's leadership in applied physics to accelerate clean energy innovation.
While we develop our flagship campus in Albuquerque, we’re standing up a new Build Center in Los Lunas where our team will manufacture many components of the Demonstration System.
